Universal Testing Machines (UTM Series)

IPC produces a range of universal testing machines suited to a variety of industrial and research applications. Loading frames range from 5 kN to 2,000 kN and use either a pneumatic or hydraulic power source, as appropriate, and with their fully integrated control and data acquisition systems and PC based library of test procedures, they form complete, extremely versatile and affordable testing systems.

The Control and Data Acquisition System (CDAS) controls the machine operation and, in turn, is supervised by a PC. The PC provides a user-friendly operator interface and enables tests to be operated and data collected via a standard RS-232 serial cable link. The PC runs IPC’s UTM operating platform, which provides the basic structure within which a library of test procedures can operate.

The test library includes procedures which span a number of engineering disciplines, covering the spectrum from standard Australian, US, and European tests, to sophisticated research applications, on materials as diverse as bound and unbound road construction materials, steel, rubber and plastics. The tests provide real-time displays of data in digital and graphical form, together with oscilloscope-like facilities to monitor loading and measurement waveforms as desired.

A ‘User Programmable’ test is provided so that engineers and scientists can develop their own tests, or modify existing ones. They can access UTM’s comprehensive range of mathematical functions and real-time plotting facilities and integrate any desired calculations or scaling algorithms into their test and store it for future use.
Although the UTM systems use sophisticated technology, we have made this transparent , enabling the user to concentrate on the test results rather than the complexity of the equipment. The user-friendly PC interface makes it possible for relatively unskilled staff to conduct tests accurately, but also provide many additional facilities for the more sophisticated user.

Hydraulic Jacking Systems

IPC global manufactures a range of servo-hydraulic jacking systems to meet a variety of custom testing requirements, including structural and component testing for industrial and automotive and aerospace industries.

Systems range from 10kN to 2500kN, either single-ended or double-ended, utilizing the power of the revolutionary IMACS (Integrated Multi-axis Controller) and UTS software for ease of use and greater flexibility with customized tests.

IPC Global hydraulic systems provide the high reliability and extreme accuracy for which IPC is recognized world-wide.

Static Testing Machines

IPC Global also builds the UTM-Series of high capacity dynamic hydraulic testing machines (300 kN to 2000 kN capacity). These machines are are available with a selection of grips and transducers to suit a diverse range of applications for materials research, construction and manufacturing industry.
