(for other gyratory compaction standards see Servopac) The Gyropac was developed in conjunction with the Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA), ARRB Transport Research and Australian state road authorities. These authorities have specified the Gyropac as the preferred machine for Australian Standard test method AS2891.2.2. For compacting specimens to other international standards or to research requirements we recommend Servopac our research standard gyratory compactor. - Allows specimens to be compacted to a predetermined height,
- (65mm for 100mm diameter and 85mm for l50mm diameter)
- Fixed speed of 60 rpm
- Gyratory angle variable between 0 - 3˚, with defined angles of 2˚ and 3˚
- 240 kPa vertical stress on the specimen during compaction
